Some cool registry hacks
If you are stuck with a white page that says ‘Active Desktop Recovery’ in your XP
Here is a registry fix…
Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ Internet Explorer\Desktop\SafeMode\Components
Click the value written as “DeskHtmlVersion”, click on the “decimal” button. Change the value to read “0″ instead of “272.”
Wait until the screen changes or reboot if nothing happens.
